MILFORD TRACK - POMPOLONA LODGE TO QUINTON LODGE

Day three and we began the hike from Pompolona to Clinton lodges early in a driving rain. This leg of the track is a challenge in good weather. Adding rain, cold, snow and an elevation gain / loss of 2300 and 2600 feet respectively made the 9 miles of today's leg difficult. The reward was great. spectacular views of the mountains and West Branch of the Clinton Valley.
