Cooling Our Heels at Alderson Lake

Back below the tree line but with miles to go before reaching Waterton the chance to put tired feet into cool was too much to pass up. Ellen promised us that cool feet shrink for a better boot fit. Fish were jumping teasing the several fishermen who'd hiked in to the lake.

Left of this view a sheer wall of rock rose 100's of feet just behind the lake, contour lines on the map bunched and overlay each other. I couldn't get back far enough for a picture!
